Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate
Reviewer, Jeb Dunnuck - Reminding me of a Chardonnay from Mark Aubert in Sonoma, Lato's 2013 Chardonnay Belle du Jour Hilliard Bruce Vineyard has gorgeous richness and ripeness in its white flower, brioche, toasted nut and apple blossom-laced bouquet. This gives way to a fabulous Chardonnay that has bright acidity, a full, rich mid-palate, and a seamless texture that carries beautifully pure fruit . This is another wine that makes a mockery of all the low-alcohol, overly acidic Chardonnays that seem to be the rage these days. While the most elegant and silky of the Chardonnays, it has terrific fruit intensity and is a joy to drink. I'd lean toward drinking bottles over the coming 4-5 years, but I'm sure it will evolve nicely for longer. Drink Date:
