Robert Parker, The Wine AdvocateReviewer, Jeb Dunnuck - These new releases from the Pisoni Family are up near the top of the vintage. Note, the Lucia label is used for any wine that isn't labeled as a Pisoni Vineyard. This is slightly confusing, as the Susan's Hill comes from a small block in the Pisoni Vineyard, nevertheless, the wines are stunning in just about every vintage.
Antonio Galloni, VinousA deep, implosive wine, the 2012 Syrah Garys' Vineyard hits the palate with serious depth and power. Here, it is the density of the fruit that stands out most. The Garys' was fermented in oak uprights, with about 70% whole clusters, an approach that is paying off nicely. Today, the 2012 is a bit muscular and tightly wound, so I suggest giving the wine another 6-12 months in bottle.
