    Antonio Galloni - Vinous

The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Grand Vin is stunning. Dark black cherry, plum, smoke, 100 licorice, menthol, tobacco and new leather wrap around the palate as this majestic, breathtaking wine shows off its personality, class and pure pedigree. Powerful yet elegant, delicate yet intense, the 2010 is firing on all cylinders today. Layers of fruit build to a crescendo of pure pleasure. Readers lucky enough to own the 2010 will want to cellar this beauty for at last a few years. In the meantime, though, it will be pretty impossible to resist. The blend is 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot.

    Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate

Reviewer, Antonio Galloni - The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Grand Vin is rich, deep and explosive, yet also incredibly sensual. The aromas and flavors are a little more delineated than in the 2009, very much in keeping with the style of the year. Violets, tar, asphalt and plums are layered into the tense, vibrant finish. Today, the 2010 is massively tannic and unapproachable. It should start drinking well around age ten, but is definitely a wine built for the cellar. The 2010 is 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2040

    Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate

The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Grand Vin State Lane Vineyard is a 275-case blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Merlot and Petit Verdot. It reveals intense red and black currant fruit, good acidity, hints of camphor and graphite, superb purity, a full-bodied texture and an extremely youthful (almost like a barrel sample) freshness and focus. This is a remarkably young yet promising, full throttle, beautifully made Cabernet Sauvignon that should be cellared for 5-7 years and drunk over the following two to three decades.
